Why do you need one can't you reverse without it or is it just a Gimick?

And, before you say anything, I'm and HGV driver and can reverse anything except the rotation of our planet

Extremely easy iirc. Camera itself has a built in number plate light so i just replaced the number plate light with the camera

And as for the wiring - Red wire that goes to reversing light, black wire that goes to earth, And the longest job is fitting the av cable from head unit to back of camera
