    Default Signum

    Hi,

I am currently having problems with my 04 2.2 signum.

I had the spanner indication come on last week, then the car went all juddery when accelerating.
This cleared up quite quickly but I am now left with the exhaust emmission fault light lit.
My local garage done a quick diagnostic and found that cyilinder1 was misfiring and so replaced the rail, this solved that problem but when they took it for a test run found it to be low on power.
They checked again and found that the fuel pressure was low and replaced the sensor with no joy.
Do you think they now need to replace the fuel pump or could it be something else.

    thanks

    John

I think the 2.2 suffers from fuel pump problems so yes it could be that.

    Lee,

thanks for quick reply mine is the petrol version but same problem I guess.

I thought it must be after reading all the posts re fuel pumps, I hoped mine may have been different due to the emmission light.
I have checked with dealer and apparently mine is not one that has been recalled for this problem, typical.

    Hoochydady,

I have had all the sensors replaced as they were convinced it was a faulty one so would hope that they are ok, car is just sluggish now other than that seems to be ok with no fault lights.

Hi mate i rang vauxhall head office customer service yesterday and was told that my car had 1 recall witch was the fuel regulator. i changed mine this year anyway as i was having the same problems as you in the end it was the hp fuel pump £350.but mine is a 2.2 direct 06 plate just give your local vx garage a ring and ask if yours has been recalled if so they will replace it for free

Apparently mine is not on the recall list don't know how they decide what cars are covered, but mine only has 38k and full service history with a VX dealer.
