    Default Very Clever

Just wanted to share this with you as I thought it was very clever.

I'm remodelling the living room after Xmas and wanted to get an electic fire to be used as a feature. Like the ones you bolt to the wall and look like a plasma TV.... anyways

I've always liked a real coal or log fire, my parents have them in the country and they are lovely.

But my house being modern (and small) a real fire would maft me out with the heat.

So here is the alternative by Dimplex. Its powered by water mist, but looks like flames and smoke.

    Very effective... and clever

Seen them in Wyvale Garden Centres, look nice
Lois Griffin: Peter! You're bribing your daughter with a car?
Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

That is clever, although I'd go for a real fire any day. If we're going go for just visual effect then I'm assuming it could be any colour, not just the traditional flame orange and cinders?

I can't see why not. Depending on the room, purple blue and green would look rather nice!

A friend of mine was telling me about these the other week, he has one as a feature in his room & said it's great... i may look into this as an option, as once my kitchen is finished i'm taking out the chimney breast in my living room to increase the size

I am about to go the other way Steve and take out all the electric storage heaters in my house and install a woodburner with back boiler and radiators in all the rooms. Hated the electric heat since i have been in this house so its time for it to go....also i get free wood so its a no brainer TBH!!

They actually look quite nice though

Free wood is a good idea, so long as you can store it for years like my mum does

I really like natural fireplaces, wood or coal. lovely
