Microwave ovens !!!

How long would you expect a microwave oven to last ?
We're on number 3 since January 2010 and it isn't like it's used every day.
Last 2 have been exchanged under the 12 month warranty and the last one (changed today) we only had in July. We've been away for nearly a month aswell since then, so less than 4 months use !!!
They're weren't cheap ones either. I bet Curry's are fed up with us.

weve had this present one for 4 years ..............must be those big fish youve been microwaving .................Or have you cheated and micro waved conkers so you could beat the local kids.

Last one i bought cost £47.95 from Asda, going strong for past 5 years. Gets used everyday. Its a standard non digital one.

1st one lasted for ONE MEAL!

took it back to tesco's and there was someone else in the queue with exactly the same microwave lol.. changed the brand of microwave and now been good as gold (touch wood) for 4 yrs

Well the one(s) we've had have been Panasonic, Bosch and now Kenwood.
Hope this one does better !

My first one was recovered from my mother's house when we cleared it, that lasted years. We finally bought a more up to date one, 4 years ago, still going strong.
3 in a year ain't normal.

Maybe i should take the beans out the tin before putting them in the miccy ?

4 years is reasonable I would say. Especially as you can buy them cheap.

I buy mine from Catalogue clearance warehouses near where I live

Can usually get the larger capacity ones with Grille and oven built in for £40-£45

Last a few years then dump it and get a new one

Way way cheaper (and bigger) than the ones in high street stores
