    Default Knocking catching noise

Really can't work out what it is, there is a sort of knocking catching noise coming off the passenger front wheel. Happens occasionally on full lock or other times when I straighten up. Sounds like you have driven over something and catching sort of pop rubber sound. Any ideas?

Sounds like it 'could' be one of the constant velocity joints on one of the front drive shafts.

    Vehicle : Facelift Insignia/Corsa D

    When stationary, moving or both?

My first guess' would be Broken spring, knackered strut top bearing or a missing lower spring sleeve

When moving, there eibach springs as well hoping to have alot more luck with those. I would of thought being a spring I would notice on the bumps which I dont. Looks like the spring sleeve is there ( not mechanically minded ) is cv joints or strut top an expensive repair?

Getting a bit fed up with the Vectra seems one thing after another.

CV joints are a ****** but the strut tops are fairly straight forward.

If the noise is a constant click click click noise when driving on full lock it'll be the CV joint. If it's a clunk that only happens when you turn the steering and it's a random clunk it's more than likely strut top bearings

Cheers John, rough estimate on fixing the strut top price wise? Was debating throwing in the towel and getting an Astra coupe.
