I'm about to do an oil-change in my 1.9 DTH and I wonder how/if I need to reset the Remaining Oil Life value.?
Or does Remaining Oil Life perhaps follow the ServiceInterval-reset?

As far as I am aware it is not possible to reset the oil life within the service indicator
as M8 says just the one reset
Thanks.
I'm going to reset the ServiceInterval then.
Your car is out of warranty so you can do what you like with the service indicator
If you are adding additional oil and oil filter changes, then simply reset after each
Just don't forget to carry out the other service points at least once every year / 20K miles
Yepp, I'm going to keep the regular/annual service at a garage, but decided to start changing the oil and filter one additional time each year as I do run the car for a short distance very often and this will deteriorate the oil-life.
I get an Remaining Oil Life of approx 27% at this point. (Oil changed last May, approx 10k miles ago)
I do not want a turbo-failure.
I'll reset the ServiceIndicator and check if the RemainingOilLife is set to 100% again.
Oil life remaining can be set by Tech 2 or Vaux Com.
This is only if car on Eco Flex servicing.
Annual is 15K/12mths, its a good idea to change more frequently if only doing short journeys. I do mine every 6mths regardless of mileage.
Changed the oil and filter today, and did a reset of the ServiceIndicator. However, did not have to do this as it did not clear the RemainingOilLife-value. Going to have it Tech2'd to reset the OilLife. Thanks for the tip lesj.
Where and how does the car display the remaining oil life?
