Tyres should fit ok, but £500 seems pretty expensive though. You owuld be looking at yokos and pirellis at that price. even Falkens only just hit £500 for a set of four at that size let alone an unknown tyre make.

But Zeetex are made in India, China and Indonesia.

    i quote:

The Zeetex tyre brand, which is produced exclusively for Dutch wholesaler S&H Tyres and Dubai based Zafco, was out in force at November’s Reifen China show

They seem to be a fairly new company too.

£500 seems OK for the tyres with the alloys but,,, and it's a BIG but,,,, the tyres will not be the greatest, just feel them out for grip wet dry and snow. The tread pattern is similar to a Dunlop but the compound will be a lifetime away so drive carefully

Wasn't disagreeing with you mate in any way, £500 for those tyres with the alloys would be OK but for that brand £500 for tyres is well out the park.

I hadn't even mentioned the size thing as I was assuming it was already clearly understood but these are looking like a Vectra-B set up at that size?

You would need to inform your insurance company about tyres that are not recommended by VX (see owners manual). Insurance companies generally don't like cars to be driven on anything other than standard sized tyres. I believe that 225/45/18 is the tyre size that should be fitted.

Not to mention how harsh the ride would be and the effect on the speedo!

If it was me I would tell the guy to keep they tyres and offer him 2/300 quid for the wheels on there own
