does anyone know how do i tell if my 53 vectra c 2.0 dti sxi has the lowered chassis as i need to buy and fit new springs as mine went with a bang and snapped . i know you need to do both side .but can you stick anyones on as long as the match with your engine number ? please help

but it got broken springs on it and i just need to know how to tell if its got a lowered chassis as i have looked for springs and there is 2 different sort for the front end springs does it make any odds ? . one is for lowered chassis and the other just has my engine number on it

Mate the 2.0dti is not lower in standard form,the kind off springs you fit will depend on the axle weight which can be found on the drivers side b pillar,have a look on there,then go to Euro car parts for correct spring rating.

Lowered suspension only on SXI's from 04 plate onwards. SXI was revamped for MY 04 with SRI sports suspension, sports bumpers darkened light clusters, white side repeaters and 5-spoke alloys.

macdad . i have looked on the pillar in the car and under the bonet and the only numbers i can find is the vin number and 2613 on the suspensionmounts under the bonet ? . i have looked in eurocars and there are 2 different chassis numbers . everything is the same apart from the chassis numbers

john k sri . when i put my number plate in to eurocars it comes back saying its the o4 model ?. it is a late 53 model
