help required.

hi all, i am new to the forum (i've just posted in the introductions) and i hope to be returning to vauxhall ownership in the next few days when i buy myself a signum.
i want a 3.0 ltr V6 diesel but just wanted some advice on what to look out for.
i have only owned 2 diesels in the past and both have gone wrong so i wanted some advice on the 3.0ltr diesel engine.
all of the reviews say it's a good strong engine with very little or no reported problems. is it as good as they say?

is there anything on the rest of the car i should be looking for?

it's either the 3.0ltr diesel or the 2.2 ltr petrol i am interested in but i have heard the 2.2 ltr is plagued with problems....is this true?

any advice you can give would be gratefully received and hopefully make my purchase all the better.

The 2.0 turbo is the most reliable petrol engine by far & will be highly recommended here I'm Sure!!.

2.2 is pretty reliable with only the full pump issue that should have been sorted on a recall, rattling timing chain the only other thing to worry about. 3.0 v6 has the dreaded dual mass flywheel and if they go................£1200 about the normal cost of replacement.
