    Default Another dutch lurker

Hi all, after lurking your forums for a couple of months now, i felt it was time to introduce myself and show off my siggy.

So well here goes, i'm from the Netherlands and have recently bought myself a Signum. I'm a real opel fanatic because as long as i can remember i was in one.
Started in my parents Vauxhall Astra Mark 1 (opel kadett D) and up to my parents Vauxhall Astra Mark 3.
Then it was time (18) to get my driving license and buy my own opel, this was a opel corsa b 1.4 swing (93 builtl) in discoloured red , haha loved that car.
Then after 3 years it was time to buy a real car and bought a opel astra F season 1.6 16v(Vauxhall Astra Mark 3, 97 built) which was one of the latest so it was alot of luxury especially compared to the corsa, after 3 years some decided to scratch my bonnet with all nice names and i was utterly gutted, that we decided to buy another car, this was a opel astra g njoy 1.6 16v(Vauxhall Astra Mark 4) not as luxury as the F (MK3) but a lot cheaper in maintenance.
After 3,5 years we decided to go bigger because we are planning (erm more hoping is the better word i think) to have kids and decided to either go for a Vecta C estate or a Signum.
I was sure about the engine which had to be a 1.9dth (150) because after all those petrol engines with not that much torque i wanted something whit a little bit more torque, there for the 1.9dth.
I was soon sold on the looks and the "uniqueness" of the Signum but because it was so unique it was hard to look for here in the Netherlands, and those that were available didn't have many options and or not the right engine or the paint looked like crap. So we decided to import a signum from Germany, because they are more common there and much better looked after, with alot more options.
After we searched the web for a descent looking car we found "our" car and decided we would hire a company to import the car for us.

The Siggy is probally a Cosmo (Elite) has full leather interior (unfortunately no memory seats) rain/light package, foldable mirrors, sat nav, bluetooth carkit, xenon, afl, tinted rear windows, etc. The car also came with 19" snowflakes which you don't see as often on vectra's or signums (when you ever see one), unfortunately the tires are cupped so i need new ones, but the car is now fitted with 17" alloys with winter tires, which i am well pleased about.

I have no or little plans for the car, just want to refurbish the winter rims and fix some (very little) paint defects (see below why) and have a trip to EDS for a remap

Oh and i love to clean my car (detailing) so i really hate this weather (snow etc) and the car is really dirty atm. When the winter is over the car will get a good clean and detail job.

Here is a vid the import company made, and a couple of pictures of the car.To make up for my rambling

Sorry these aren't really pictures of the siggy, but more of the surroundings and the siggy.
