P0620 Generator Control Circuit. Have you tried disconnecting the negative terminal, leaving it a minute or so and reconnecting it?

Yes tried that, i took the battery off again to see if i might of knocked something when i reconnected it but it all looked fine. Took the car for a spin on the duel carridgeway after i reconnected the battery and i lost all the power in my car the only thing thas was running was the engine so had no power steering the brake servo unit did not work basically anything that uses electric did not work.

Luckily i managed to get the car home in one piece.

Silly question but why did you change the battery? Do you have a multimeter tester?

Sounds like possible alternator fault. Check the voltage of the batt with engine off and with engine running.
Check the connections and earth points are secure.

Changed battery because i have got another fault code p0380 and some one on this site told me to try and change it as some times it can throw that type of error.

Did you check voltage from the alternator first? Should be between 13.5v and 14.4v with the engine running, at the battery.

Do you know anyone with one? Think you need to check the voltage first before doing anything else.

Got myself a multimeter so i am going to check the battery in the morning but i have never used a multimeter before so i will have a little play with it before hand. would it be correct that before the engine running the battery should pull about 12v and when the engine is running it should read 13.5v - 14.5v?
