    Don't see why not. As long as there are no loose bare wires hanging about.

    If it's not working on any speed, surely it won't be the resistor?? If you remove the resistor from a working unit, it only cuts off speeds 1,2 and 3. Not 4. This is because speed 4 is the motor's normal speed, and the resistor's job is to slow it down for speeds 1,2 and 3.

    My guess it that the motor's knackered, especially if you had water leaking in under the pollen filter.

    Check to see if there's current actually getting to the motor (with all speeds selected), using a multimeter

    Have you checked the fuse for the motor?

    Indeed... if no speed 4, then check fuses first...
    Thermal fuse is a different thing altogether

    Check fuses as follows

    F2 = 7.5A
    F18 = 7.5A
    F23 = 30A or 40A
    F25 = 7.5A

    I want to remove blower motor anyway to see is there any water in motor housing as I read here that somethimes clean it all up can back the motor to life, and I will check resistor as well. I wasn`t sure if I have to disconect a bettery before I start to do anything, but I will remove one cable(-) from battery and try to get the motor out. Can you give me any advice how to clean itp up, what to do? what I should check when I will take a blower motor out?
    About the fuses: I`ve checked them already and they looks ok.
    When I`am operating with fan speed 1-4 I can hear a click on speed 1 and 4 so I think blue relay is ok?
    I just want to try to fix it by my self as I don`t want do spend £££ pound going to vx if I don`t have to!
    Hopefuly the motor will be Ok
    Big thanks for all your comments!

    Where is the resistor pack located? I don't seem to have any fan on setting 1 but it's fine on 2,3 and 4?
