    Default fabia vrs tdi?

any one had one of these? whats your thoughts?

its the 130bhp, i would obviously get it mapped for starts, but from what ive heard they are bullet proof and go well..

their are a few for about 5k which im liking and the insurance is cheaper than the vec, but when people ask what i drive i would need to say a VRS cause i just cant bring my self to say a skoda! obviously i know the history of skoda etc but still.

    whats your thoughts?

ive had a bora tdi 130 which was remapped goes well for what it is.. but ive had a race with the bora an the vec my vec is abit faster but its smooth and the bora felt faster obviously it is lighter than the vec.. but it was reliable and many people including garages have claimed the 130 is very reliable.

i wouldn't be embarassed to have a skoda at all, nice cars. Only people who haven't got a clue about cars think they are inferior.

One thrashed a Mini Cooper on the Top Gear test track a while back. Very torquey for it's size.

pass the badge..skodas are pretty good and reliable. I have not long changed from a 2.0 Turbo petrol.. to a diesel and loving the performance and mpg... yeah, its not in the turbo league..but for £130 tax a year compared to £245 and 150 bhp..the future is deffinately diesel..
I ended up with a megane 2.0dci GT... was scared off from the vx astra 1.9, 150 bhp with all the egr probs etc as the renault engine is apparently bulletproof..(post 06 model..)
i Have an 07 megane GT and love the handling and performance.. am soon to get it remapped to approx 190 bhp.. for £200 ish.. at that you cant go wrong...
all I would say is that 'external parts' ie spoilers, door locks etc are not very popular at all.. vx seem to have soo much accessories..
Do I miss the Vec..Yes.. well its looks anyway.. But I dont miss having to fill it up every week when doing less than 200 miles around town!
I have learned to live with the space.. I have 2 littluns and you get used to and adapt to the space you have..
    Bite the bullet.. Go diesel!!
