Default Tail light/number plate light wiring...

    Hello there,

Sorry for being a newbie to this forum and perhaps putting this in the wrong place, but I'm having a problem with the tail lights and number plate lights on an 04 Vectra C estate.

I cannot find any fuses for them, having scanned through the manual at all the fuse locations. The bulbs all seem to be okay.

The only real culprit I can come up with is...

The drain hole infront of the pollen filter got blocked, filled with water, destroyed the fan motor and soaked the inside of the car on the passenger side. Now that we have had this severe cold weather, the carpets in the passenger side back seat are frozen solid. Does the wiring for the tail lights etc run underneath the carpets here? If so, have any of the connections been destroyed by being frozen, expanding etc.?

It seems strange that both tail lights and number plate lights would go at the same time, and what with it being winter and getting dark early, I could do with a quick fix...

Many thanks for anybody that can help.

    Kyu

Do you have the bulb out warnings for the tail lights? Which exact tail lights do you mean? The ones that come on with the headlights? Do the stop lamps etc work ok still?

If you cannot find a fuse then check them all. Except the radio one unless you have the code.

Seems odd that both sides don't work and doesnt suggest a fuse to me.
