Ignition Lights

Hi folks, need some help.

The spanner light has been coming on with the other ignition lights for the last week or so in my 03 V6 Elite and at the same time it sounded like my exhaust was blowing slightly from the manifold area.

Left it with Vauxhall today and low and behold they couldn't find anything wrong but did update the ECU with the latest patch or something.

Picked it up tonight (after garage shut) and not only do I have the spanner light coming on but also the oil sign for 5 seconds or so. I thought this meant that the car was due for a service with 600 miles but it was serviced a couple of weeks ago. The blowing noise has mysteriously disappered though.

Have they forget to reset the service counter or do you think it might be something else?

If it is an early 03 car you may have a fault which causes the service light to come on when it feels like it. I had my instrument cluster replaced under warranty after a lot of visits to the dealer !! Basically everytime they reset it it came on after a couple of weeks, ended up getting vx customer care involved .. I got the funky new instruments as well ...
