Roads and idiots

Wife managed to double book us for Xmas Eve prezzy drops, so took our grandson's stuff over 4pm ish, back road to Shrewsbury, thought it would be ok due to volume of traffic - it was, till we got -11.5 temps and freezing fog.
Persevered as over half way there, troubles came on main roads.
Got down to M54 roundabout, in left hand ooooooof the two staright over lanes, pulled of and got car in right hand lane tooting horn and irate because they wanted to go left onto motorway and were completely in the wrong lane. Obviously all my fault..........
Got there, helped granson assemble some Lego Star Wars, then started back, on main roads and M54.
Two roundabouts before motorway, repeat of earlier, woman in pxy little puegout honkinh horn from right hand side and forced me over into turn left lane because she was in wrong lane and I was in her way. Slow driver in front of us so while in left lane hit loud pedal and went round both of them.
Got on M54, happily doing 50mph in patchy fog, driver behind me decides he's like to be on main beam, no worriess about the half a dozen cars in front of him or the dozen or so on the other carriageway. Vision was a bit impaired with fog so I flicked rear fogs on, then off again. He dipped - for a while, then went back on main beam. I gave up and dipped rear view, he carried on going on and off main beam at random till I turned off at J6, he went back on main beam before I was halfway up slip road Then we got the 15mph in 30 limit crowd. Was I ever glad to get home!

the number of people i've noticed who dont bother dipping there lights, or have badly aligned lights at the moment is unbelieveable, my pet hate is the bright lights that range rovers (obvious other cars have same style) seems to be fitted that blind you even in dipped lights

Grumpy its the pleasures of living near/in Telford lol. I swear sometimes they aim for you. I never had road rage till I moved to telford lol.

Yeah, I grew up and learnt to ride/drive in South London, I thought they were all mental till I moved here!

Plus there is just islands everywhere in telford haha. My nan always said when they was looking over the road plans for telford all the rings there drinks left behind turned out to be islands. In that case they need to work harder and drink less.
But I am still waiting for the day I return home without saying to the wife "some bleemin idiot just. ................" Lol.
