When i was cleaning the beast today i pulled the indicator stick down, it turned on making a bleep sound and the indicator light came on, all fine, but their was no key in the ignition , i did it the other way and got the same thing. Looked outside and no indicator lights was working. Looked through the manual and can't find out why it happens. I think something is should happen.
Any thoughts.
No indicator light was on, but have a look again. The parking light (left or right) was on
Parking lights mate, puts the sidelights on one side only. Opposite side to the pavement it should be.
No lights on at all. thought of that it might be that but nothing.
My car is being really funny at the moment. Doing things i don't think it should. like speeding up on cruise control, thought it was me but my wife said the same thing too. But i got an ECU check done and it was all ok. strange.
think i have got a possed car. LOL LOL
if you press the bottom button to engage the cruise control it will go up or down to the last setting speed,
as said above pushing the indicator up or down will put the parking light on, which will be the side furthest from the pavement, its not a very bright bulb, and only really visible in darkness on mine,

sorry for sounding stupid, so i push stalk to the side thats furthest from the kerb or the nearest the kerb,
on my old golf, you pushed the stalk towards the kerb and the side light furthest from kerb illuminated if that makes sense,
