    Default masperformance

Hi - I'm sure I've seen these guys on a thread somewhere but can't find it now. So has anyone had there 150 CDTi remapped by them?

I'm looking at getting mine done - it's an SRi and will be 3yrs old in April. I'd previously looked at going to MPG in Cheshire as they seem to be very well respected. But masperformance cover Wakefield which is local to me.

I'm particularly interested in exactly what MAP they put on the ECU - are these bespoke to masperformance or just one they use, I'm also interested in the long term effects this might have - I don't thrash my car ever, it does very little mileage but when it is driven its a mixture of city and motorway driving.

And obviously how much does this cost to have done.

If anyone has used them I'd be interested to hear what you think.

    Thanks - J.

Thanks I'll have a look at them as well - have you used them then?

When I first started to look at remaps about a year ago I only found a handful of places that seemed to get regular mentions on this forum. What I've found now is there's a lot more places offering this service - but are they any good?

Surely you want the assurance that "x" months / years down the line you know your cars not going to go bang and leave you with a broken engine and a huge repair bill.

So really I'm looking for somewhere that's got a proven track record, no what there doing and not just trying to make a fast buck.

I sed Masperformance and they are fantastic he knows his stuff very well and knows Vauxhall too. They adjusted my map on his laptop it took him 2 hours to fine tweak the map and asked me about hoe much power I would like etc I said I wanted a safe limit on the car but wanted it to be quick which is what he has done and he reckons it's about 200bhp with all my other mods and I am very happy with it cost me 215 included remap, egr removal and dpf removal very very happy and would def go back there again I can now embarras alot of cars with the veccy now and getting 50mpg on a run

Its obviously personal oppion, but having been caught out im always very wary of anywhere that says they think a car s now about x bhp. IMO you should always have a before and after rr. Especially given the high standard outputs some cars run. As i said its all personal oppinion, but i would get an rr before you get a map and then again after.
