What these like over the winter months, not expecting winter tyre performance, but just as a gauge from a member with genuine experience as have a set of 17 inch GSi/Elite wheels for winter use and when the current tyres are worn i'll be looking for something offering good all round value.

For less than the last lot of tyres you had you can get 4 Falken 912 Ziex in 225,45,17 which is what I have and will replace with again as its the best tyre I have had on the Vectra. I started with the Factory Fit Goodyear poop, then fitted Goodyear F1 GSD3 and went up to the 225 modd and then the Falken 912 Ziex. These tyres are good in winter including the snow and superb in the summer and the added bonus is that they are quiet to the ear drum.

If I had the luxury mate I woul have a set of winters for 100% certain, but as a daily tyre the Neutons carry an M&S rating, and I don't mean Sparks and Mincers

I found they were OK in this compacted snow and ice as with 250Hp going through the fronts any tyre would struggle in fairness.

it always surprise me how peoples opinion's differ, Falkon 912 Ziex on my vec are the worst the very worst tyres I have ever had on a car in winter and I have driven for 42 winters, as soon as the temp went below 7 degrees even on a dry road, the grip droped off. but other than winter driving the best VFM you can get.
