    Default Replacement key

I have had my 2008 vectra elite for exactly 1 week now, but i am in need of buying a replacement key as i only have 1 key at the minute. Now my mate at vauxhall has said he could get one fully coded up for about £50.

Before i give him the go ahead, could i do this myself with parts off ebay and using my opcom?

I am guessing i need new fob with internals, and a blank key that will require cutting, then reprogrammed using my opcom?

Thats a really good price if thats a new flip key including coding. That will be trade price as people have been known to pay upto a £100 just for the key. I got mine for around £45 as im quite friendly with the parts guys.

My advice would be to bite his hand off lol.

You can program a key with OpCom if you have your security number.

Not sure on price of the bits though.

When they are coding to the car just make sure they check if other keys are registered to the vehicle and get them blocked
