    Default Unbelievable...

    << raging mode on >>

    Car insurance... legal binding document.

Spend half hour on the phone to insurance broker going through the facts.

Statement of Facts form arrives with NINE errors on it !

So I call back to amend the errors and am told it DOESNT MATTER as it wont affect my policy !!

So let me get this right... your statement of facts are incorrect and doesn't show the facts... but thats ok !!

I'll be going through my insurance form again with a fine tooth comb when it arrives.

This feels like a scam and it shouldn't !! I'm growing a hatred towards insurance companies 'Victor Meldrew' style

Ive come to realise they all want to go 50/50 nowadays no matter if its the third parties fault or not. They wont fight for you even when its a no brainer. I really do hate them with a passion. They have us by the nuts so to speak.

Its free money for them. Said it before, there needs to be more competition or some kind of government 3rd party insurance!

They regularly got half a dozen things on mine wrong, mostly place parked, alarm and immobiliser details - and yes, I keep getting told it doesn't matter. So, why do they ask?
Wife's due renewal end of the month, guess how many mistakes? they don't even have the right phone number.........

Renew mine in May and I don't look forward to it. Came back from Afghan in April and because my renewal had ran over 2 weeks I lost the apparent 10% discount so it went up Eventually got the barstewards to give me 5% off, but it was still more expensive than the previous year. All because I was in ****** Afghan FFS.

Fully anticipate it to be close to £800 this year, that's it going up another £100. I'll be 24 with 6yrs driving and 5NCB, I think?LOL

Maybe best to play it safe and ask for a confirmation letter stating that the errors are not going to affect any future claim.

I'm with a German insurance company and had a period of changing vehicle quite often. Had my VW passat, then an escort cabrio, then a vectra b...

I got refunded 1000 euro into my account and as it was unexpected thought I would innocently check up without acting too suprised as obviously I wanted to keep the money...

They turned around and said they had just updated my policy and I had been insured on the escort for the 10 months prior that I had changed to the vectra b... so technically I was insured on the wrong car!!!!

Now they made out it was all okay and I had to give the money back to them as I was insured etc etc etc... to which I gave them the birdy and said i was keeping half... they didnt argue. Imagine I had crashed the Veccy... would they really back me up as changing vehicle or would they claim I wasn't insured and not pay out???? Could of been jail time!
