    Default Vectra igloo!!!!

    Hi, am i worryin for nothing? Im concerned my car has been covered in snow/ice for a solid week now, its snow only came once but its never thawed out and melted of since! Does this damage paint work been under snow/ice for so long!?

    Shouldnt do as it is just cold water but if you didnt protect the paintwork before hand then there is a small possiblity it may uncover something, if it been sitting that long its your battery you need to be worried about. Try turning it over when you can

    Ok cheers. Jus dunno how to get it off now its been on car that long. Wi these temps it wont defrost til april!!! Ill have to get the hair dryer out to defrost it! Lol

    Best to clear off the fresh snow before it freezes. I am really annoyed that so many drivers especially 4x4 drivers are driving round with roofs and rear windows covered in frozen snow, because they are too lazy to remove it. Thought it was illegal.

    It is illegal, but just to add my two penneth, it probably causes more paintwork damage to remove it than leave it there....

    Im not talkin bout driving it full of snow! Thats anotha topic, i dont drive it in this weatha! I jus meant for it to sit there for a week full of snow/ice. Sori for any cunfusion

    I didn't drive mine after clearing the snow off it. Just thought it was a good idea to remove the snow before it all froze.....12 hours after it stopped snowing......six inches of snow on the roof......and there wasn't much ice underneath. Saved me the bother later.
