Y22dtr mpg

People,

I was wondering if some owners of the Y22DTR engine could post their current tank average MPG.

I have only had the car a few months and I'm hoping that it should be doing a bit more than 35 MPG and around 32 MPG in the cold. However, if this is the norm then I will just have to live with it!

Depends what kind of driving you have been doing, mostly mway or town or a mixture of the two

Around town mine probably does about 35, maybe a little more. On a run the highest I've seen it average is about 58.

The highest I've seen my old 2.2DTi average was 67mpg but calculated was 61

Don't trust the trip computer

I currently travel to Manchester from Leeds everyday and am getting between 48 and 52mpg

Most of my daily commute is fast road so 42-43 is my regular reading but at the moment its been down as low as 35.

I usually get 39-41mpg but the bad weather has seen it get as low as 31mpg!!!

On a good 200 mile run up the motorway I have had 55mpg.

The engine has to get up to temperature to get good MPG.

easy, fill the tank right up, set mileage trip to zero, do say 350/400 miles then fill right up check miles on trip,, so you put in say 55 ltrs, devide by 4.546,,so 55 divide 4.546 = 12.09 gallons,, say you did 420 miles, so 420 divide by 12.09 +34.73 mpg,,, see told you it was easy.
