3.2 major oil leak!

Driving to work this morning noticed oil fumes.. got to work and investigated.. front and rear exhaust manifolds covered in oil and also rhs of block and gear box... balls! got car towed to garage... now waiting for the news.. coolant is fine.. any ideas?

Rocker cover gasket blown, often caused by blocked oil breathers.

As far as I know they're clear (or were a month ago)... I'm sure I've read somewhere (did have a lil search) that theres an oilcooler that sits in the top of the lump?

The oil cooler sits in the "vee" of the engine.

hmmm so could be that... either way it's gonna be a good 2+ hrs labour for starters

And the rest........ Thats if it is the heat exchanger/oil cooler. Mine went about 18 months ago luckily it was covered under warranty, if not the labour bill would have been silly i was without the car for couple of days.

When mine went it was the coolant it was loosing, there not the most reliable of parts on the V6.
