    confused Head light motor assembly???

Hi guys after a slight bump and my headlight being non existant ive had to order a replacement and fit myself.

Any one who has done this might remember tinkering about with the motor assembly...this is what is puzzling me, can anyone explain...

There is a white peg that slots into the motor that connects as a sort ov ball joint into the headlight structure. The peg slots into the motor via to end slots, the inner mechanism consists of cogs and wheels which would lead you to believe that the white peg should turn in order to adjust the headlight. If you inspect the make-up closely I cant see anythin that would allow the peg to turn at all although the cogs etc turn...hopefully if someone has come across this they will understand what I mean?

Anyone shed any light on this?

The peg doesn't turn, it goes in and out
