So I got a note pushed through my door from Royal Mail today.

I have to pay £1.10 because the sender hasnt paid full postage

I dont know if its a letter or a parcel, I dont know who the sender is...

I dont know if its important, if its a gift, or if its a circular (spam)...

If I decide to 'rescue' it from Royal Mail it may cost me more than £1.10 as I have to venture into town at this time of year for it ?

If I decide to forget about it, the item may never get back to the sender?



Why do they commit the resource to post the ****** note, but leave the letter behind !!

It will prob be a massive card that someone hasnt stuck a large letter stamp on it or something, had 2 of these so far

Are you sure there was no other post with it ? as they normally just stick it through letter box with a note asking you to pay, Well at least they have to me

and I just read the note closer and it says they only underpaid by 10p as the other £1 charge is handling fee.

We had one a few weeks ago & the wife insisted on going to collect it lol... turned out to be a letter from the bank confirming my wifes change of name ffs... she just didn't listen when i said sod it lol...

You can request to see the item prior to paying
You can then decline to receive the item, it then goes back to the sender AND they have to pay to receive it back
