    Default Might be silly question.....

    Hey peeps,

As said might be a silly question. I have an aftermarket headunit that I had for sale. I took it out of another car that we was sellling and replaced it with a cheaper one.
I remember when I took it out of my mondeo to put in my renault I had to buy a new lead that connected to the back of the H/U and to the mondeos loom, Is this correct?
I guy just came to buy the H/U took it away then returned an hour later saying he wanted a refund because there is no wiring loom with the H/U. I said that he needs to buy the right one for his car as my renault one wouldnt work in his astra, He said that ALL H/U fit ALL cars and that this H/U should come with a loom.

If im wrong im wrong hands up but im sure I had to buy a new lead for it to work in my renault. Just to say again its the lead that fits into the back of the H/U and then the cars ISO loom clicks in the other end.

    Many thanks

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The headunit should come with its own wiring harness with iso adapter blocks and that is the standard connectors for all cars!!! The wiring harness you bought for your reanult and vauxhall are only leads to convert them to the normal everyday iso lead blocks that you should have sold with your headunit

Scotty every headunit be it lg, sony ,jvc, kenwood etc have a different 16 or 32 pin lead going out the headunit which is connected to the normal iso blocks (1for power) and the other block for the speaker connections but the guy that bought yours will need the lg wiring loom so he can fit it to any other car if you get what i mean?? say it was me that bought your headunit i would need to get the specific lg wiring harness then i buy the double din converter lead for the vectra so i can install that to the original lg loom with the original iso connectors!!!
