Arrow Turbo upgrade party - calling any budding spanner monkeys

    Guys..

I am about the install a bigger hybrid turbo on my engine, along with a larger fuel pump, injectors and a 3 inch stainless downpipe (with 100cpi cat)..

I do have the car booked in again for fitting in January, but as ever bills keeping coming up and this time its my other vec will that be in for its MOT at the same time as this new booking for the turbo install. Something always gets in the way. This will be the third booking I am going to have to cancel

I keep having to put this job off so I have decided I want to have a go at it myself with the assistance of a few extra pairs of hands. I have all the tools (and haynes manuals etc) but the job will done on my driveway. By doing it this way I not cannot only save several hundred pounds but I will be able to fully document it for a how2 for the forum, I know a few others are looking into doing this and are awaiting the results. I am not expecting people to do this for nothing.. I can supply the food and hot drinks throughout the day, a case of beer to each helper (at the end of the day) and petrol money to cover your journey.

A fun day could be had as we find our way around this and make it the first Maptun Stage 5 Signum (or Vectra) and probably the fastest 2.0T in the UK (maybe anywhere).

No date is set yet, just gauging interest right now. I am located in the Southampton area (bottom of the M3).

So if you fancy a day away from the in-laws and having a serious tinker or just being the photographer and writer. You will not be expected to do any mechanical bits you are not confident with, but holding something up while I or others do is always a great help and a good learning experience.

Fingers crossed, lets see who is game for some tinkering..

More than happy to come and lend a hand mate as long as Amy's working again by then so we can afford the petrol money to get down there as it's just over 100 miles (our finances are somewhat stuffed right now). Won't want any recompense for it (although the food and hot drinks while there won't be turned down lol), enough people have helped me out in the past on here.

Although I've never worked as one I am a qualified mechanic so should be able to help with just about anything you want doing. Once you've got a date let me know if you still need extra hands and the date and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks guys, I feel truly humbled. There is a fair amount of work but as they say many hands make light work. While some are working in the top of the engine others can be underneath.

Will leave this a couple more days before sorting a date with you all.
