I've driven a navara which i think is the same but pick up version. Did a bit of green lane driving. handled that very well and thought it was an ok motor. If i was looking at 4x4 then that would be on the short list.

earler ones are better as they were built before they were taken over by Renault - since then they have lots of electrical gremlins which generally relate to Renault parts being retro fitted to the vehicles

my Ex has one and raved about it when she got it in exhange for the Legacy (she had always wanted a "proper sized" 4X4) and now......well its had loads of issues all electrical (window faults lock issues sat nav errors unable to start as plip failed etc...etc )and now she wants to sell it - its worth nothing so she's stuck with it and its just run out of warranty

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

just noticed the 28.8 to the gallon that took the smile off her face but were willing to spend upto 10k and she likes the pathfinder.

Ive always liked them. As mentioned very similar to a Navara but with some weight over the rear. Like the Navara they can be a bit tail happy in the wet also.

Get her to take one for a test drive and try parking it in a busy supermarket car park.

driven both this and a Terrano which i own.

Yes pathfinder is better drive but Terrano is very robust.

In 5 years of owning, only fault with terrano was electrical abs broken wire which was quickly fixed

for the number of days 4x4 is actually needed for bad weather, its a good vehicle and i guess you can pick up a good quality one for a lot less than the price of the pathfinder
