    Default 4 new tyres needed---ouch

my skoda octavia vrs { i used to have a sri} needs 4 new tyres size 225/40/r18 , i was going to get some kumho's but ive been told by my mechanic mate that these are crap, so guys can you recommend me a decent mid-range no more than £100 a corner. heard uniroyal rainsport 2 are pretty good and i can buy them for £100 each, i do about 18k a year. also does anyone know if camskill are any good for prices and delivery.
i know i can count on the advice of the guys on here, even though im not driving a sri anymore !

As above, cracking tyres, they were perfect in a Cupra R (so dependant on age a similar engine to the vRS) on the Ring so are perfectly fine for the road.

I recently have had four new Kuhmo's kh31's fitted to my vec 225/45/17. Done around 1k on them so far. They seem to ride very nicely, low noise and better grip than the NCT's 215/50/17 I had on before.

All in all im really happy with them, even if they do tram slightly due to increased size.

They arn't that bad in this snow either. 73 quid a corner (all in)

They are, but last time I tried, Camskill no longer supply them.

Hankook came out best here, beating some "premium" brands. May be worth a look.

I would recommend, Falken fk452 I had these on my 19" snowflakes and was pretty impressed. I ordered mine from camskill, good service and quick delivery and for your size they are a bargain @ £60.25 http://camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m61b0s134p6214
