    Default frozen door seals

    come to get in the vectra the other day ( -9 ) and i could not open the door the door seals had frozon to the car. any idea,s how to stop it how do the russian,s cope with - 30 with there lada,s

    found the answer- use silicon spray around your door seals or wd40 or petroleum jelly. but best with silicon spray ( furniture polish ? ) giving it a try...........

    3m silicone spray - second only to 3m lithium grease as my fave spray for cars. wd40 is 3rd.

    hi, on the google search it posted 1-silicon spray 2-petroleum jelly 3- WD40 last resort.

    WD40, vasaline or even spray on some de icer as a temporary measure. Prevention is better than cure though and never throw warm water over your car as a de icing measure, the water gets on the seals and then freezes. At this time of year when you wash your car its a good idea to dry the seals and the door frames.

    Vasaline will last longer than wd40.

    im using vasaline on mine as i dont have a door frame so my window is on the rubber and i have had no probs and we have seen minus 17 i also put some on the rubber boot seal to so no sticky boot
