    Exclamation Windowscreen Wiper broken?

    Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 cdti elite

On the front of my car, one windowscreen wiper is working fine, however the passengers side wiper is not moving at all. When moving wiper whilst clearing snow, it feels loose, unlike the drivers wiper, which feels normal and quite stiff. I have already tried to tighten the passengers wiper.

    Regards in advance.

A design weak point in the Vectra C
The choices are to replace both control rods, available as after market parts, or the entire mechanism as VX do

Mine failed last week, still waiting for part to arrive
I have no wipers at all as the main control rod failed

Mine failed about 5 month back so I tied it down with cable ties and it's been fine ever since

Have a look at this post http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119672 for the quick repair. Mine has been fixed like this for about 2 months now. I have bought the wipex set and will be fitting it when it is a tad warmer! also got some Rain-X, although haven't got round to applying it on the screen - doh!

I can recommend the push rod kits from wipex. Just fitted some last week.

Transformed my wiper action. No need to remove the wiper arms or scuttle panel as there is "just" enough room to get your hands in to pop the old ones off & fit the new ones.

Ooh, for free delivery from the same company go here. Bit cheaper too.
