Smoking Turbo from cold start 2.8 V6???

hey all,

Problems on a 2006 Signum 2.8 V6 Turbo...

Noticed this a few months back, but after sorting yet another leaky coolant clip I thought I had solved the problem (thinking it was burning off crystalised coolant).

When I start the car up from cold (as in sat for a few days) I noticed that from startup up intil the pressure release on the turbo is heard, that there is smoke coming from the turbo (below the coolant channel unions)

Now I havent had a proper look if its down near the exhaust join etc but wondered if anyone else has experienced this? It only happens for around 20 seconds after startup and there doesnt seem to be any problems afterwards. Only visible with the bonnet open...

I must admit i've never noticed it Luke. And I did this yestreday morning when putting my battery cover back on.

Hmmm not good... not good at all. Hopefully its just the gasket between the turbo and exhaust as it does look a bit like exhaust gas... hoping its just seperated slightly when cold and closes up again once the metal expands... ha i can hope
