    Default Brake pedal pressure

When I drive my Vectra C 2.0dti i am finding that when I first push on the brake pedal it goes all the way to the bottom. If i then release the pedal and press it straight away the pressure returns about half way, then if I release again and press again the pressure retruns to the top of the pedal.

After a few minutes the same thing happens again, no pressure at all.

I have check the brake fluid tank and it is full.

Anyone got any ideas where to start looking?

I have recently had new brake pads fitted front and back.

From the forums I have read so far, people have mentioned bleeding the brakes, or a flipped seal in the master cylinder but I have no idea.

Can anyone please help and point me in the right direction?

I am assuming it was ok before the new pads were fitted?

Have you heard of "diesel creep"?

(And no, diesel creep isn't the nickname of the Fiat employee who designed the 1.9...)

It was like that before the pads were fitted but I had pretty much ran the pads down to the bear minumum.

Have done about 30 miles with the new pads.

Hmmm interesting article about the diesel creep, I am just wondering how long the pedal will be like this as it is not ideal driving having to press the pedal a few times.
