Default I have to de-ice the inside!

When the temperature outside drops below -2c my window screen ices over on the inside, which is tricky to de-ice.

does anyone have any sugguestions to why this happens and how it can be resolved?

Any help would be much appreciated.

All cars do it when its cold (double glazed ones might not)! The only way to stop it is to buy a garage!!

i dont have this trouble on mine but did on my audi a3, and that was due to poor seals around the door letting in a draft to condensate on the glass,

try and check all the seals around windows doors and boot etc, this is probably why

Mine doesn't - you must have some dampness inside the cabin which is condensing on the screen. Check for damp carpets - difficult when you tread snow into the car, and signs of leaks. Even damaged or perished door membranes can let water in.

None of the 3 Vectra 'C's I have had have either. Used to happen on an old Fiat I once had, but I suspect that was down to Fiat build quality.

Either damp or cold air is getting in where it shouldn't. Maybe check the pollen filter and drain under the windscreen. They can harbour damp if blocked.

Its worse when I havent been using the aircon to be honest! Presuably this explains why. Car is completely dry inside

I think I read on here recently someone saying you should leave the car door open for a minute or so when you switch off, so all the warm air inside escapes and doesn't have a chance to condense when left to cool overnight, and obviously freeze.

Seems to make sense, I've not needed to try it however.
