whats my tv worth?

i know its completely unrelated to the site but wee wife in her wisdom conned me into buying a new telly last night, so i now have to sell my old one, its 2 yrs old 28"jvc flat wide screen with nicam, teletext built on subwoofer etc, its an excellent telly with perfect picture/sound aswell ,ive got all the manuals etc and so was wondering how much do i sell it for? and does anybody want it? lol

hi dude

i was in same situation couple of months ago - upgraded to a lcd so the phillips 28" w/screen similar spec to yours had to go - i tried local paper £100 then £70 ono - no calls.

good spec 28"'s go for approx £50-80 on ebay but i couldnt be bothered waiting for someone not to come and collect it.

oh 5h1t better not tell the missus! itll probably end up in the kids room then as im not going to just give it away, although i had an idea that it would be practically worthless!

exactly the same as me - didnt want to give it away for peanuts so its taking up a hefty corner in our room now!

principle aint it.

26" LG lcd in matt black, effing good telly and its got huge connectivity including the new hdmi ports etc its also hd ready and cant wait to set it up, we are in the middle of redecorating the living room just now and this will be the last thing i do, i can also highly recommend LG as ive already got a 15" lcd telly in my bedroom and its quality kit

Did the same when i bought my Plasma. (thats LG too!). Son now has a nice 32" Flat screen 100hz Toshiba in his bedroom.

As it was only 3 years old there was no way i would have given it away for nothing.

second that mate - LG is quality kit. ive got a black 32" LG (and a HD subscription, got it just in time for the world cup this summer)

hd stuff is awesome. if you watch a lot of dvd's would also recommend an upscaling dvd player. (LG one is £70) makes a massive difference.

sounds technical mate whats the difference?

I got a HD ready LCD recently too but my mate talked me out of getting the Sky HD box as there aint much HD progs being broadcast yet. Cant wait to see what the actual difference is like though
