confused Speedo & Rev counter not working on vauxhall vectra cdx 1999 modelv

    Hi all,

I am new to this forum and have a problem with my Vectra 1999 2.0L CDX.

My rev counter and speedo have stoped working recently.

When I turn on the ignition key, the speedo vibrates.

When driving both the speedo and rev dont work.

I have removed the clock twice now to check the back conector and got it to work for about a minute, and goes dead again.

The problem must be somewhere else.

    Please help

    Thanks

    Fredweb.

From previous experience, I know that the connections for the speedo and rev are in the passenger foot well - under the left kick panel.

But if it flickers slightly, I doubt the connection would have come away with messing?

    Try it!

I know this is an old thread but i have the same problem with my Vectra.

Fred (if your still about) when your clocks started playing up did you get PG09 displayed where the mileage should be? and did you notice any sort of missfire?

I have the same symptoms but am waiting for some clocks i bought of e-bay to arrive, in the mean time i've checked all the grounds, pluh at the back of the clocks, Alt charging level (which was 14.8v so i put a new regulator in the alt and not sits at 14.2 at 3000rpm)

    Does this sound simalar?
