These are a lot better than the traditional FM Transmitters, there is a physical connection, so a lot less loss of sound quality.

But, do a search on google. Almost exactly the same units available and 1/2 the price of what you have linked to!

I have an IO Play. Good bit of kit, uses bluetooth. Got ipod touch and nokia phone paired, and can take another three devices. Think they're around £100, but I got mine off the bay for less than fifty. Need an SOT lead - got mine from Halfords, easier to wire than the one I got off ebay. Doesn't charge your device, but I bought a brodit kit for the ipod/iphone, nice and neat. Does drop out occassionally on ipod, but not on phone. I've got the little control wheel in the ashtray, out of sight.

Bad points - apart from not charging, you can't use the steering controls, or adjust the bass/treble (you can on the ipod though).

It cuts the radio/ipod for phone calls, then goes back to it. All in, I really like it, and they're not too hard to fit - I found it easier to put the boxes beside the glove box - not that much room behind the stereo/heater controls. Connect to the cig lighter wire, plug the SOT in, route the control wheel and microphone, job done.

I tried the Parrot Mki9200 bluetooth handsfree kit which had Ipod connection etc. No steering controls for it, but a small device for changing between phone, ipod settings etc.

I go so fed up with it in the end, i sold it and decided that a CD with 170 music tracks or 6 albums or so would be just as good.. and it is.

Have you thought about upgrading your CD30? CD30 MP3 will do the job, or just go full hog and get a CD70 and screen!

Or, you could get an aftermarket headunit. The only problem then, is if you have is you dont get any radio/cd/mp3 display on the screen in your car, but you do keep the on board computer and its functionality.

Perhaps its me being picky, but i dont like all the claggage of GPS stuck to the windows, or airvents, or remote controls etc.

not sure about the CD30 MP3 having aux in.

If you do decide to go the CD70 route, have a dig around on the forum, tons of posts about what you need and how to install in etc.

£190 fitted is not a bad price if it includes the interface leads etc. Not sure how good Halfords are at fitting these things, but they are pretty easy to fit yourself should you attempt it.

The FM modulator route is what I did originally.

    See here: http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52950

Now use a Parrot Mki9200 (have one in each car) which is way better and has phone bluetooth.
