    Default Dump valve

I have a 2004 2.2 dti sri and am thinking of having a dump valve fitted and am currently getting around 48 to the gallon on diesel, which I am obviously quite happy with
If I change to a dump valve will I lose much MPG, as I am worried because I drive to Manchester from Leeds during the week and to lose to much MPG would end up costing me a fortune. Even though I reckon it would sound pretty good lol.

Dont waste your time or money with this - dump valve's on diesels sound stupid and diesels run totally different to petrols so you would probably lose power as well as mpg

It has been proven to decrease BHP, so why would you install one. The 2.2 is quite obviously diesel also, so it wouldnt confuse anyone other then as to why the heck you would do it! Plus its a Vec / signum. Why make it sound like a rally rep when it isnt one?

The diesel dump valves are indeed a waste of time - unless you're into the chavvy whootsh!

They have to be hard wired in & run off the throttle switch
