    Default 2.2 dti sensors

    Hi i need to replace oil level and temperature sensors on sump , has anyone done this or have you come accross a how 2.

    If they are the ones on the front of the sump they should be easy enough. Never tried myself but i believe its a spanner job and some clips either on the part end connecting to a wire or on the end of the wire itself. Just be aware that oil will gush out so drain the oil first and while your at it, change the filter. Use plenty of wd40 as these will probably be very tight

    Thanks for that , 1 sensor seems pretty straight forward because it has a thread to undo to replace but the other 1 doesn't .
    hard to explain really just seems to turn , that is the one i need to replace .

    Ah that should just pull out. i used one on the front once to drain my oil as the sump plug was locked shut lol. IIRC it just pulled out

    I will have another alook but could be a while before i can underneath again ( WEATHER )
    I was thinking i might have to drop sump because its connected from the inside of it.

    I have the same problem. Oil level sensor only can change from inside, so you need to remove sump. Get a new sump gasket before.
