I saw car recently that had done his door mirrors and a few other exterior bits in the white DI-Noc stuff, it actaully looked really good. He said he did it to cover all the nasty marks he was getting on the white paint etc..
I did the same thing to my door pillars to cover the flaking that had appeared.
9 times out of 10 it has been put there to cover something up.
If its genuine 3m stuff it normally looks and feels pretty good and isnt exactly cheap to do (cost me £24 for the stuff for the front 4 door pillars to do it myself)
gently heat with a hairdryer to loosen otherwise in this weather its going to come off into tiny little pieces - i fitted it exterior wise on my old Signum on the fog lamp covers and chrome window trims (remember the Green) it comes off and if not heated leaves a sticky residue which any spirit based cleaner will remove
as above it might open a can of worms on scuffs and scratches ...but these can also be remedied
0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
It was 3m stuff and it did cost a fortune lol
