hand brake?

can any one help in telling me what work is done on the recall for the hand brake?

my vectra keeps rolling down my drive, on speaking to vauxhall its had the recall work done over a year ago.

i would like to know what work they do ie did they change anything so i could check it?

i would also like to know this , I received a recall letter the other day to get my handbrake done .

This is a great question to ask - what exactly do they do? sorry I can't tell you but my vectra has 'rolled away' once and vauxhall simply told me 'there is no outstanding recall on your vehicle'

Iirc all they do is fit an uprated spring in the handbrake to stop it coming off on its own - If you read the sticker on the sun visor it says to also leave the car in gear which is what i do now since mine rolled down the drive into a steel post

They add a spring/clip to the handbrake mechanism inside the car and put a sticker on the drivers side visor telling you how to apply the handbrake *properly*.

I understand the recall only applies to manuals not autos.

Does the lever stay up or does it fall?
