I drove a 420 mile round trip to Glasgow at the weekend in my nice shiny new Olympic White insgnia. When I got home on Sunday evening my car was the darker shade of grey due to the sh*t on the roads. Never had a chance to wash it until yesterday, I went home in my lunch hour to wash my car (that's commitment, especially with no lunch) and was just finishing cleaning my 19" alloys and a neighbour from way down my street said to me "That's a really nice car, I mean a really really nice car." he set off walking and took a few steps back and said "That wheels are excellent and really suit your car.". He then started walking away and then said "That's the poshest of cars around here, a really nice looking motor."
I don't even know the guy apart that he moved in down the street a few years ago.
What a boost when a stranger comments on how well your car looks.

and then say he was only joking..... thus making you feel really bad.....

That is nice, I must admit I have had Sooooo many people commenting on mine and people who are not into cars either

I think it's the White that does it as it shows off the body lines really well. Had a guy at work today who thought it was a BMW and another who thought it was a jag!

Not the best time of year for a White car though as I seem to be jet washing it down every day at work
