Clutch Switch wiring?

Hey guys, as some of you know ive had issues with my CC and ive gotten it down to the clutch switch.

Turns out i don't actually have one, and this is why when the CC was working and i depressed the clutch the car would rev out.

After buying a new switch and going to install it i have noticed that there are two wires (pale blue and black) which have been cut above the clutch pedal and joined by a block connector. What i THINK has happened is that this has been the connection to the switch and somebody has simply eliminated it.

can anyone confirm these are indeed the correct wires?

If so, where would i get a new connector suitable to match the switch (2 pin)?

I've just had another thought - Does the clutch switch when depressed break the circuit and cuts the CC in this way? So if the wires are joined permanently then the clutch shouldn't be causing me problems anyway?
