There was one written using a non loom wiring method i think, but if you are planning on installing one with the proper loom, then this is what you need to do:

Plug loom into rear fuse box
Run loom under roof lining
Plug loom into mirror
Fit Mirror

It really is as easy as that mate....

I am inept when it comes to cars, but even i managed this one!!

i went to the scrap yard today and got the mirror and the ribbon which took ages to carefully strip out for a grand sum of £5 lol bargain
just not too sure how it all wires in

The how2 in the how2 section does indeed use the correct loom/ribbon cable. Even taking your time it only takes about 30 mins.

I got mine off ebay, member on here too.

Easy to do, the hardest part was routing the ribbon cable. A well recommended mod by me, if not just for the ambient night light thing. lol

I think the trick with roof lining is be firm but not heavy handed. Its quite flexible if you do it bit by bit. If you are forcing it you are probably doing it wrong.

Only hard part i found was getting it in where the door pillar is, but a bit of perserverance and it went in.

Oh, and most importantly of all... make sure you have clean hands! Mucky marks on a headliner is ugly to say the least!
