Few questions

Can anyone help with the below questions. Searched but cant find the answers :-(

1 - How do i remove the ciggy lighter to replace the bulb. Cant get the thing out. Ashtray comes out but cant get rest out.

2 - My car comes with no mirror in the drivers side. Can i swap out the visor for one with the mirror as cant see the power connectors in my car. Presume they are hidden in the roof liner ?

3 - Where is the coolant temprature sensor in the engine. My temp never seems to move. Only now and then it lifts over the first mark so was thinking i need to replace to sensor.

Cars a 55 plate cdti 150.

Easiest way.. Remove the surround which goes over the gear stick, remove the ashtray holder, you should have access to the cig lighter at that point. Again, give it a tug and it will come out.

I saw a post on here (try a search) about testing the guage by connecting lead to earth.

Thermostat failing (they fail open) would sound more of a cause for you low temp guage. How is the heater - if not roasting then this is likely your problem

A : with great difficulty to be honest most of the time you end up breaking the cig lighter , remove the ashtray and you should be able to see under the cig lighter , the bulb holder should just pull out or twist out and you should be able to do this with out removing it

A :yes you can swith the sun visor but you may not have a harness above the headlining for it as different vehicles have different harnessed there not generic

A : dont know location but what you describe it sounds more like a sticking thermostat
