Default SRI Sports Seats Repair Bolster or Seat Covers

I have an 04 SRI with the usual grey checked sports seats.

The driver seat right bolster cushion is wearing on the edge - I presume previous owners were not too careful when getting in or out.

It does not look too bad but is obviously a place that will suffer more over time.

Does anyone have suggestions for protecting or repairing this edge in a way that looks neat.

Or alterntively any suggested seat covers that you have personally used and look good and can cater for the Sports Seats air bags, adjustment levers etc..

I am not usually a fan of seat covers as you can end up continually straightening them, although I must admit the last set I ever fitted were over 20 years ago to a MK3 cortina, so I guess design will have progressed.

If anyone has fitted seat covers, i'd also be interested to know where they got them from...

Also, is it ok to use them if you have a) side airbags and b) heated seats??

... the leather seats just get way too cold in the winter...

    Thanks.

Have been thinking of getting some seat covers as well and came across these:-

    http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbv...%2C+Aerotex%3A

Not sure of the quality of them but at around £42 thought that was quite reasonable

And according to them they are side airbag compatible

May give them a punt in the new year

    Damo

    EDIT:-

Scratch that link just seen that they are that they aren't suitable for sports seats, seats with "airline style" trays or armrests, or leather seats. SORRY

TBH for all the hassle mate, you'd be as well just buying another seat from a breakers. All of the sri's had the same seats throughout the life of the Vec so you could pick one up pretty cheap.

I sold a whole sri interior a couple of months ago for 50 quid

    Thanks for the input.

Like I say not too keen on the seat covers - with them being Sports Seats and Air-Bags I think it is difficult to get a good fit.

I like the options of a simply a trip to a breakers yard /ebay (if the seat really gets bad later) for new seats is the best option, particulalry in view of the likely prices coming down as more cars find their way to the Great Vx Heaven in the smelter

    Thanks again
