Thanks Gazza. Do you know if there is a relay that controls the glow plugs and where it would be located. i know there are relays in the engine bay where the fuses are but i do not know if one of these relays controls the glowplugs and which one it it as my vecra handbook does not tell me whet relay is what.

I think the Glow plug control unit (the silver box stuck to the battery case) and the Glow Plug relay are the same unit.

If you've changed the glow plugs and the silver thing whatever its called :-) then you could check the fuse, but I still haven't found where its is (I think its fuse F38??) http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123156.

Also is the battery OK? The glow plugs need a fair bit of juice.
Also check the cable loom that goes from the glow plugs, someone on here said it can get caught against the gearbox/clutch.

If you find the fuse can you let me know where its is?

Have you had the battery checked? A bad battery has been known to throw this error (and other random ones).

Also have you checked that the glow plug wiring is not catching on anything. I think this only applies to the 1.6 CDTi 150s.

Rather than a main dealer is there a Bosch approved garage near you?
