    confused Brake sensor

    I just got the light on my dash to say my brakes are ready so I have changed the pads format and back but the light stayed on do I need to replace the sensor on the pad or can I reset this

    When the sensor has been activated it needs replaced mate

    mine has snapped................noticed brakes feel different since and been told....correct me if im talking ******** but the abs will not operate when on

    ABS and the pad wear indicator are unrelated mate, get the brakes checked out

    discs and pads were new 4000 miles ago........was told because the sensor tells the ecu they are worn abs is affected..........

    Unless the can bus cars do that i've never heard of it. My pad sensor wire broke and all that happened was the dash light on all of the time.

    You could twist the wires together to extinguish the light and see how the brakes are afterwards.

    If the ABS was affected the car would throw up an ABS light too
