    Default bonnet release

    when pulling the lever for the bonnet it feels like its already been popped but the bonnet is still locked down.. any ideas how I can get it open???

    Try getting some one to push down on the bonnet as you pull the lever. Might work.

    just tried that, it's not having it - I can hear the cable moving and it making noise under the bonnet but not releasing

    I had to jam the handle open and then just go and pull the bonnet open or get someone to hold tha handle open if possible.

    Once you get it open the release mechanism needs to be adjusted to make it open every time. I can't remember of the top of my head what and where I adjusted. Sure someone will though.

    that has happened to me before, but as graham said, pushing really hard on bonnet usually does the trick

    yeah been at it for an hour.... just read this thread....http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3555 mines a face lift and can't really see through the grill to where it is

    Pull the handle as far as it will go.... then get a pair of pliers on the exposed bowden cable and pull that until the bonnet catch pops .

    Once open ADJUST THE DAMNED CABLE !!

    tbh i wouldnt no another way! on my previous car Audi A3 it happened and i was able to get underneath the car and release the pins with a long screwdriver, but that was a pain
